Problem
Healthcare pricing can be difficult to understand before visiting a clinic, while finding relevant nearby healthcare providers often requires searching through multiple websites or map results.
CareReal was created to give users an initial treatment cost estimate and help them discover clinics based on their location.
Technical decisions

Challenge
The project combines two different problems: estimating healthcare costs and discovering clinics based on a user's location.
Treatment estimates must react to different answers and additional conditions, while location data and external search results also need to be handled reliably.
How I solved it
I created a question-driven estimation flow where answers can apply multipliers or additional costs to a treatment's base price range.
Treatment data was organized by category so new treatment flows can be added without rebuilding the entire application.
For clinic discovery, Malaysian states and districts are managed using DOSM-based location data with caching and a local fallback. The selected location is then used to perform clinic searches through the SerpApi integration.
