Duolingo veri Islamic. Sistem digunakan dalam ni :
- Sistem pengurusan kandungan Islamik
- Sistem pembelajaran/journey (lesson, soalan, jawapan, markah completion)
- Sistem progress & streak pengguna (track kemajuan + streak harian)
- Sistem favourite & history kandungan
Problem
Islamic educational content is widely available online, but consuming individual articles or videos does not always provide users with a structured learning journey.
Tafheem was designed to make Islamic learning more engaging by combining structured lessons with progress tracking and gamification concepts.
Technical decisions
- Used Laravel as the main application framework
- Separated educational content from learning journeys
- Created structured lessons with questions and answers
- Tracked lesson completion for each user
- Implemented user progress tracking
- Implemented daily learning streaks
- Added favourite content functionality
- Recorded learning and content history
- Designed the system so new learning content can be added independently
Challenge
The challenge was designing a learning system that feels simple while still keeping track of lessons, answers, completion status, user activity and learning progress.
The system also needed enough flexibility for administrators to continuously introduce new educational content.
How I solved it
I separated content management from user-learning data.
Lessons and questions are managed as reusable content, while completion, progress, streak, favourites and history are stored independently for each user.
This allowed the learning experience to remain personalized without duplicating the original educational content.

Outcome

Features such as progress tracking, streaks, favourites and history encourage users to return and continue learning instead of consuming isolated pieces of content.
